The COVID-19 pandemic posed unprecedented challenges for urban spaces, highlighting the importance of immediate surroundings and raising questions about accessibility and equity. Restrictions imposed by lockdowns prompted a reevaluation of what exists within a 100-meter radius of homes and the relationship with the natural and built environments.

This project consists of two stages. First, it maps urban scales from XS, the balcony, to S, the apartment, M, the street, L, the block, and XL, the city, capturing the significant changes these spaces underwent during quarantine. The second stage focuses on rethinking conventional urban scales through three techniques designed to transform existing spaces with adaptable scaffolding systems.

These systems alter the traditional nature of the apartment, façade, and backyard, utilizing a quick assembly scaffolding system made from materials like steel, net, aluminum, and fabric.
